THE WHO were great last night I was 10 rows back center - who are you - was on fire - great new song, we got a hit - 2hr show - go see them!

As he swept through the first few chords of "I Can't Explain" to kick off the show Pete gave us a hint of what was to come. Reports of his indifference at previous stops on this tour were vanquished as he and his mates began a aggressive journey back through their catalogue as well as showcasing new material off the their upcoming CD. From 11 rows back you could feel the energy - Pete was on fire this night. Backed by his brother Simon, on guitar, Zak on drums, Rabbit on keyborads and bass impressario Pino Palladino the Who proved themselves still relevant and still able to connect with their audience. Their many rock anthems scattered between new songs and a sampling of Tommy as an encore was a nice change from the 'Greatest Hits' tours of late.
