I remember watching The Who make their debut on Top of the Pops in the mid-60's and even as a relatively sheltered 7 year old, being spell bound by this burst of electric energy and power. I have always seemed to live miles away from the main gigging circuit, or have been on holiday when gigs come up less than 2 hours away, or had no money etc etc. It's therefore taken me over 40 years for the chance to see the band in action but I have to say that the wait was worth it. As the ageing process hits us all, Roger and Pete were inspirational and proof that an increasing numerical value does not have to be a death sentence or a short cut to an M & S cardigan and Complan. 2 1/4 hours of electric energy and power 40 years on and I'm still on fire. Class Act isn't a strong enough phrase but I'd just want to say thank you, thank, thank you guys for not hanging up the act, for seeing it through all the ups and downs, for remembering the fans and having the decency and ability to talk to us (Why do so many acts turn up, play and go without talking to the fans ?). I felt a real connection and even if I don't catch the next tour, I will never forget Wednesday night. I also promise not to slope off into my dotage, I have seen the light.

Absolutely amazing concert. I think they get better as they age. Each band member superb, 6th time I have seen them, best concert yet. Where does pete get his energy from? He was on stage 2 hours 15 mins non stop. Mr perpetual motion. World's greatest band,no contest. Also so nice to see so many youngsters at gig. Wonderful evening.
