Here are two photos that I took at a Who concert at the Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson, Mississippi, in August of 1967. Maybe it was between Saint Louis on the 25th and Atlanta on the 29th. Opening acts were local band the Wallabys, and the Tropics from Tampa, Florida. I believe The Who were followed by Herman's Hermits, but my Brownie Fiesta camera was out of film by that time. Perhaps also on the bill were the Blues Magoos, with their electric suits. On the photos you can see Townsend's Vox Super Beatle amps and Entwistle's Fender amps behind the opening bands. Needless to say, Townshend poked his guitar neck through several speakers and then kicked the Vox amps over, then smashed his Telecaster on the stage as Keith Moon waved a huge rebel flag behind the smashed drums and the colored smoke bombs went off.
