What a SPECTACULAR concert from The Who! They are really getting warmed up! Right before the band took the stage, to our left there was a magnificent FULL ARC RAINBOW! And a double rainbow to boot! A VERY good omen, even the band noticed it! And the CLASSIC evening that followed: Pete and the boys must have brushed up a bit on "The Seeker" after Detroit's amusing trainwreck two days before. Star Lake's version was TIGHT and PERFECT with all the verses and solos in their rightful places! What followed was profound and historic. Pete said it was the 1st time played this tour. What few realized is that it had been TWENTY-ONE YEARS TO THE MONTH since "Bargain" had been last performed! (Last performance was 8.6.1979(!) at the Apollo Theatre (of Glasgow, SCOTLAND, not Harlem!) It was beautifully played and sung, featuring Rabbit on the signature glissando synth part. "Bargain" was greeted by a rapturous standing ovation from the crowd. What a welcome surprise and a splendid addition to the set!
"I'm One" was also played for the first time this tour and it's always nice to hear Pete sing it. THE WHO ARE FUCKING BACK! STRONG!
