A real WHO SHOW!!! Roger, Pete, and John were ready to rock and you could see it in their eyes from the moment the first note was played ... the South Florida crowd was immediately sucked in by the incredible production. Getting rid of the excess musicians and stripping down the band has brought back the intensity and the anger to the sound ... The played al of Quad ... the encore consisted of acoustic Won't Get Fooled Again, Substitute, Can't Explain, (a short rendition of "It's a Small World After All" done by Roger on the acoustic), The Kids are Alright, and Who Are You with an incredible jam session ending.
Pete was in rare form, strapping on the Fender and playing electric for a good part of the night. It's tough to believe Pete is in his 50's ... he jumped in the air, ran around the stage, did more windmills than one could count, and ended the show by throwing his guitar into the air ... it spun as it came down ... he caught it falling to the ground...and holding it with two hands began slamming the base of the guitar on the stage ... picked it up - brought it over his head ... obviously realized how expensive it was ... and set it aside ... but for one fleeting moment sitting in that crowd, I felt something I had never felt before at a concert ... raw energy ... Pete's still got it ... everyone there thought the legendary guitar smash was coming ... we could feel it - but even though it was a near miss ... the show was a bullseye - Nobody can tell me The Who is not the World's Greatest Rock n' Roll Band

The setlist was the same as Tampa, except for TKAA before WAY. After ICE, Roger made an announcement: "I'd like to do something for you people who live in Florida. I took my daughter Rosie to Disney one night and I heard months and fucking months of ..." and then proceeded to sing the "It's A Small World After All" chorus. Roger played acoustic on TKAA, then the whole band kicked in for the bridge. Near the end of the song, Pete ad libbed a bit: "The kids are alright ... Y'know, the kids are alright ... Your kids ... My kids ... The kids are alright ... They're really alright ... We didn't do too bad ... How can anything be wrong with kids? How can anything be wrong with kids? They're angels!" Right before WAY, Pete said, "This is our last show on this tour...any tour."
