I bought tickets on-line at 2:00 am Chicago time. BUT would those e-tickets REALLY be there when I arrived in London. We (those of us over 30) must learn to trust the internet. YES, the tickets where there and they where. Pete's side, four rows up from the main floor and six rows in from stage right. Not bad for buying my tickets 3000 miles away. On the way our seats, I saw the SET LIST! It wasn't Tommy, but my cuz was going to see a "real Who" concert! It didn't matter to me. Did I give a shit that Roger was sick? No way, I though he sounded better than ever with that ultra raspy voice. It looked like it hurt every note. I must say the audience was a bit more subdued than in America. I also kept thinking, this does not seem as loud as the in the States. But it was ok with me, because I could probably hear myself cheering on the Encore CD from themusic.com if the audience was was quieter. But, my ears where still ringing on Tuesday. The Coral where very cool, very R&B. Very Young!!! Pete wore sunglasses for the first couple songs. The first jump I saw was in Substitute. The lights were all blue for Behind Blue Eyes. There was a big screen behind the stage. They put a cameraman behind Pete's double stack of old Fenders, because he seems to have a habit of playing to the drums or drummer! So a lot of the video we saw on the screen was when Pete turning his back to the audience. I had been very fortunate to hear Real Good Looken Boy on WXRT in Chicago before I went to London. BUT LIVE WAS outrageous! Roger plays acoustic guitar like on The Kids Are Alright live. I have grown accustom to this Who 2 song and it feels like a favorite pillow.
