I attended this show. Arrived approximately two hrs. early and stood in massive lines outside. Crowd was very mixed with young and old attendees. When the gates opened there was a massive rush to enter. My girlfriend and I ran for the stage as most if not all seats were GA. We were up against the front center stage barrier. Staff between the stage and barrier quickly evacuated sensing the barrier would give. It did ... and 10,000 people surged forward the final 3-4 feet and were pressed against the stage. The show would not begin until everyone stepped back enough to get a line of staff in between the stage and crowd. After another hour the crush from the surging crowd was outright frightening. Some people had to be handed overhead to remove them from the mass of people. Promoters would come out every few minutes asking the rear of the stadium to back up just one step to relive the crush. Threats were made that The Who will NOT come out unless the sea of people backed up. Finally Pete came out and demanded everyone to back up. "We want to play for you but can't unless you back the f**k up." Shades of 1979. After an eternity The Who hit the stage. Pete playing his Schecter Telecasters most of the show. The crowd was insane, total mayhem. Roger was warning everyone to be carefull, settle down. The sound was loud and quite good. 5.15 through WGFA were exceptionally good. By midway through the show Pete's guitar had spatters of blood on it from his continous windmills. We were lucky to have survived the show.
