SetlistSubstitute, Summertime Blues, I'm A Boy, Happy Jack, Pictures Of Lily, Boris The Spider, So Sad About Us, My Generation
The Blues Magoos were on first and played about six songs including We Ain't Got Nothin' Yet, Pipe Dream, There's A Chance We Can Make It and a long version of Gloria. The Who played eight songs. I'm quite sure of that the following are the correct songs they played and the playing order is pretty close: Substitute, Summertime Blues, I'm A Boy, Happy Jack, Pictures Of Lily, Boris The Spider, So Sad About Us and My Generation. By the way, Peter Noone was wearing a gold lame jumpsuit and they opened their show with these two songs: With A Little Help From My Friends and There's A Kind Of Hush. That's all I know because I walked out after the second song. I just couldn't stomach them after witnessing the incredible Who!
Mike Griffiths sent this date. He wrote: "I saw the Who in Vancouver in July of 1967. I'm guessing that the date was probably July 16, (but it could have been the 12th). This is assuming the other live dates you have listed in between are correct: 13th - Calgary. 14th - Portland, 15th - Seattle. Also, you state that the Who joined the Herman's Hermits tour after the Calgary date. The show I saw in Vancouver was with the Blues Magoos and Herman's Hermits, so that would point towards the 16th. Also, as they played Portland followed by Seattle they were going in the direction of Vancouver. So that's my best guess for Vancouver: 16.7.67." I corrected the date to 17th July 1967, because Joe McMichael and Irish 'Jack' Lyons list a show in Sacramento on the date 16.7.1967 (Concert File, p. 63).
