This was my 2nd Who concert ('82,'06) so maybe I can't make a totally objective review, but it seemed incredible. Roger was still suffering with bronchitis, but he became stronger as the show progressed. I think it was the full setlist they had been doing prior to the MN show. I'm not sure if Cry if You Want was in there ... they extended My Generation and I heard some Naked Eyes lyrics.

I especially liked Won't Get Fooled Again and the Encore, but the other highlights surprised me. Purple Dress, YBYB, Eminence Front, and the Wire & Glass section were all awesome. If you asked me before the show, I would said you could axe any of that for some Quad or By Numbers, but I'm not so sure now. Pete introduced YBYB as "cheesey" - but it was anything but cheesey last night.

I'll have to hear it on Sirius to find for sure about Rog's voice, but the show seemed pretty good until Man In A Purple Dress or Black Widow's Eyes - and pretty magical after that.

I took one fan (my seven yr old boy) and two other rock fans (Baba O'Riley, Pinball Wizard, Who Are You fans) and they were all impressed. ("a lot better than I thought it would be - are they really that old?")

The Pretenders deserve some mention, too. They hit big with My City Was Gone (in Ohio of course) and finished with Brass in Pocket which I heard they were not doing.

Pete mentioned special Christmas bonuses for the crew and was in good spirits all night. He seemed proud of Roger for his performance under the circumstances.
