The Who did play in Denmark again on this tour, though. They played in Odense in between some Swedish dates, and again stirred up quite a riot. It's hard to say how they managed to top their last show in Odense, but the journalists called it "The worst ever in Odense", meaning of course that it had the most violence and destruction ever.
The Who played "Dancing in the Street", "Barbara Ann", "I'm a Boy", "The Kids are Alright" and "My Generation" which all went down very well. They probably did "Heatwave" as the opener, and "So Sad about Us" and "Substitute" after "Barbara Ann". There is no recorded evidence of this show, but one of the oldest bootleg tapes exist from the Stockholm show played just two days later, where the Who had pretty much the same set-list.
The reason for the riot this time seems to have been that the people in charge started to draw the curtain as the Who were still playing. This outraged Pete Townshend who obviously wasn't in the mood to stop playing when there was a "good thing going", so he decided to simply pull the curtain down. At the same time, the kids stormed the stage. The show ended in chaos.
Before the show the Who had "amused" themselves backstage with some kind of (friendly?) quarrel. There were broken windows and lots of broken beer bottles and "Smørrebrød" (Danish kind of sandwich) on the dressing room floor. The Who had had a food fight no doubt.
