Over 3000 delirious fans jam packed Birmingham's Kinetic Circus last Thursday to see The Who make a much wild night and The Who proved what a fine exciting band they really are. Roger Daltrey's vibrant vocals had everyone yelling for more. »l Don't Even Know Myself« met with a tremendous reception as did Bo Diddley's »Roadrunner« and another oldie, »Water«. Roger Daltrey's microphone "swinging" and Pete Townshend's on-stage perambulations and leaps made for complete all round entertainment.
After 90 minutes exhilarating guitar work by Pete on lead and John Entwistle on bass, plus the usual inimitable display on skins by Keith Moon, The Who called it a day, much to the disappointment of the fans, whose stomping and cries for more carried on for a full half hour after they had left the stage.
