Pete Townshend played a surprise acoustic set on Thursday night (September 14th), during his girlfriend Rachel Fuller's show at Joe's Pub in New York City. Towards the end of Fuller's set, Townshend delighted hardcore fans with acoustic renditions of the Lifehouse classic "Greyhound Girl," "Endless Wire" from the Who's new "mini opera" Wire And Glass, "Let's See Action," and the rarely performed "Blue, Red And Grey" from the album Who By Numbers featuring Townshend on ukulele, before closing with a the new Wire And Glass track "In The Ether" accompanied by Fuller.
The guitarist had also performed several songs earlier in the show with Fuller, Foy Vance, and Martha Wainwright, who were also on the bill.
