The Who Concert Guide

Glastonbury Festival was brought to a rain drenched finale tonight (Sunday), as The Who closed the Pyramid Stage while The Chemical Brothers played on the Other Stage. The rock legends played a greatest hits set, with early highlights including 'The Seeker', 'Won't Be Fooled Again' and 'Who Are You' .

Drawing one of the weekend's biggest crowds to the Pyramid, with many forced onto paths leading off the stage to get a listen, the veteran rockers looked visibly moved by the reaction. Guitarist Pete Townshend said: "We waited a long time to come here. We are so pleased to be here. Thanks for sticking with us."

As the rain got worse the hits got bigger, and during the second half of the set the audience were treated to a medley of songs, including 'My Generation', 'Won't Get Fooled Again, 'The Kids Are Alright' and 'Pinball Wizard'.And as the band drew another wet Glastonbury Festival to a close with 'Tea And Theatre', singer Roger Daltrey told fans: "It may be muddy, it may be wet but you have been fantastic. Thank you Glastonbury." 

Rain also lashed the Other Stage, which saw an epic lights and lasers show by headliners The Chemical Brothers.  Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons tore through hits from their six albums, including opener 'Galvanize', 'Superstar DJs' and 'Elektrobank'.

The Glasto veterans and former Pyramid Stage headliners played various tracks featuring pre-recorded guest vocalists. Ali Love crept up on recent single 'Do It Again', Bloc Party's Kele Okereke voice was decoded over a banging version of 'Believe' and New Orders' Bernard Summer's voice was cut up on 'Out Of Control'.

The one hour and twenty minute set was backed by stunning visuals and green lasers, which stretched out over the campsite on Pennard Hill. Many festival goers left the site following the two headline sets while others headed off to continue the party in areas such as the Stone Circle, Lost Vagueness and the Left Field.
