Who were in their best pop-happening mood when they struck Malmö on Sunday afternoon. During the final number the group treated their respective instruments roughly, which was loudly appreciated by the crowd at the sold-out venue.
Less happy on the other hand was the pair of local bands serving as “opening acts”, because they (Moderations and Gonks respectively) had to shorten their sets considerably.
We had set our eyes on this particular gig, because we hadn’t played in Malmö for a very long time, a very dissatisfied “Maggot” Andersson of Gonks said.
And, one can understand the feelings of Gonks. To be well received by the audience and then only being allowed to play three songs, merely in order for Who to be able to catch their plane to Denmark, where they were due to perform at Odense later in the evening.
After the show, it turned out that there really was no hurry, which remained at Bulltofta airport. As the plane had been chartered, they waited until the group arrived.
So, it really was unnecessary to let Gonks leave the stage so quickly!
