Pete Townshend: "Poor, jealous boy - that's the singer of this song. You can't really hear the words because I was bluffing quite a few of them. However, when I came to write them out I got quite a coherent song out of this demo. Not going to take it any further.This was written as a possible piece for a theatre version of WHITE CITY. When the singer sings 'We're alone at last' there is a sense that there could be jealous violence in the air."
